Drivers
JDR are proud to introduce their regular drivers, all of whom come from very different backgrounds and bring their individual expertise and experience to the race events:
- Barry Davison

Barry Davison is an experienced Morgan racer who has over the last couple of years being adding several Sports 2000s and Historics to his collection.
Barry owned the JDR prepared Championship winning Tigas that both Oliver Stirling and Patrick Sherrington drove to victory in 2009. In addition Barry has a Lotus Eleven Le Mans in which he made his own racing debut, and a fully restored Lotus Mark VI. 2013 sees Barry returning to the Historic Motorsport scene in his much loved Lotus Elite and Eleven.
- David and Rob Fenn

Father and son partnership David (left) and Rob began sports car racing in 2008. Their Lotus Motorsport Elise was fully rebuilt by JDR for a full Britcar campaign in 2009, swiftly followed by a challenging Honda NSX racecar project.
The duo went on to score numerous podiums and race wins in the Lotus throughout 2009, finishing overall highest point scorers and 2nd in the Championship. The Honda NSX, built from a roadcar chassis by JDR, debuted at the November 2009 Britcar Race with Vicki Butler Henderson at the wheel. The Fenns look forward to a full calendar in 2012 in the popular Lotus Cup UK Championship in their Motorsport Elise.
- James Barclay

James began racing karts in 1995 and quickly progressed to become the National Karting Champion in Formula TKM.
In 1998 he won the Vauxhall Vectra Scholarship and progressed with Vauxhall's support into the 1999 Vectra SRi V6 Challenge supporting the BTCC. In 2000 James competed in the Autobytel Lotus Motorsport Elise series, and proved to be a front runner in the competitive TOCA support series.
Between 2004-2008 James competed in Sports2000 with John Danby Racing, claiming a number of pole positions & podiums in his JDR prepared Swift DB2.
In 2009 James joined the Fenns in their JDR prepared Elise to win 2nd in the Britcar Championship, also driving alongside Vicki Butler Henderson in the debut of the JDR built Honda NSX.
2010 & 2011 James has been USA based, but continued to support JDR with testing & development duties and claimed a win in Masters at the Spa 6hr in the JDR built Elan of Nick Atkins.
James looks forward to more racing and on-track success in 2012.
- Liz Halliday

Former Le Mans competitor and sportswoman Liz has joined forces with John Danby Racing to showcase her talents in the family’s collection of Historic Race Cars.
Liz enjoyed several outings in her Alfa GTA & SZ in 2010 at events ranging from Goodwood to Monza. In 2013 Liz will be on board full-time contesting the popular Lotus Cup Championship in a JDR built Lotus 2-Eleven.
- Nick Atkins

Nick is a very experienced racer having competed in Motorsport since 1966.
He has driven a wide range of cars from both modern and historic saloons, Sports2000, to his Tiga GC286 Le Mans car which he still runs in Historic Group C events. In 2009 Nick added a Lotus Elite to his stable, racing it in selected UK and European races, including the Le Mans 24hr support race. In 2010 JDR restored a period Lotus Elan 26R for Nick to race alongside the Elite in various prestigious Historic Meetings. Nick will continue in 2013 to race his fleet of lovely Lotus historics.
- Oliver Stirling

After only a few historic Formula Ford outings Oli started racing in Sports2000 with John Danby Racing in 2005.
Oliver won the Lola Cup in 2006 in his JDR prepared Royale, and in 2008 won the Sports2000 Historic championship by winning every race in the JDR built Tiga SC80 owned by Barry Davison. In 2009 Oliver continued his domination with a repeat performance, winning the Sports2000 Pinto Championship.
In 2013 Oli plans to contest some headline modern and historic race events.
- Patrick Sherrington

Patrick started his racing career in 2000 participating in the UK Formula Vee Championship.
Due to his past successes Patrick secured a drive in the 2008 UK VdeV series in the JDR prepared Ligier. His long term sponsor ADI Systems has again helped Patrick to race Barry Davison's Tiga SC80 in the Sports 2000 Historic Championship, and in 2009 Patrick went on to win the Sports2000 Championship in the John Danby Racing prepared Tiga.
Patrick's 2013 plans are currently being finalised.
