From its base in Colchester, Essex, JDR has prepared and run cars in a variety of championships including Historic Group C, Thoroughbred Grand Prix, Sports 2000, VdeV, Britcar, Lotus Cup, Lotus on Track, Masters and British Formula Ford.
Driven by a passion for engineering excellence JDR has a hugely successful track record, which includes overall victory in the SRCC Sports 2000 Duratec, Pinto and Historic Championships, Championship runners up in Britcar and numerous pole positions, lap records and race wins in a variety of championships.
With a depth of engineering knowledge JDR also specialises in prototype engineering, component design, development and manufacture. Supporting this arm of the business JDR’s Colchester facility is fully equipped with the latest CNC and fabrication machinery, as well as an in-house graphic design and vehicle livery service.
In addition JDR also specialises in race and road car restoration and has worked with brands such as Ferrari, Jaguar, BMW, Alfa Romeo, Tiga, Swift and Royale.

Team founder and accopmlished racing engineer John Danby established the business in 2002 after three years with Lotus Motorsport as Chief Engineer.
During this time he was instrumental in the design, development and manufacture of the Lotus Motorsport Elise race car and well as overseeing all engineering activities for the Autobytel Lotus Championship. The company has quickly earned a strong reputation as a leading race team and engineering organisation in the motorsport world, producing bespoke solutions and building cars that are made to win.
